Osprey season is in full swing. The babies are learning how to fish and it is awesome watching them dive repeatedly trying to grab a fish. I woke up stupid early this morning to a sea of pea soup fog. I waited it out in my spot. The Osprey were on the wrong side of the bridge as there were baitfish boiling in the water. Had to shoot into the sun, but managed these.. Comments welcome

3 A quick break, had to run my prints and canvases to a Nature Center and grabbed a shot of one of their resident Hawks. This was a test of the VC on the Tamron as this is at 1/80th and 600mm...

Each time I open your thread I feel a sense of WOW....I've never been able to see in person what you capture and share. Thank you for sharing your experiences with us

Looks like you had a great day today. 5 & 6 are my favorites. If it was me I would do a long skinny crop on number 6 and print it. That eye contact and fish look is just outstanding. If the bird was just a little lower in the colored bg a bit more I think that would be my favorite osprey shot I have seen from you. Now I'm just nit picking, really just trying to get you to strive for perfection your not far off.

Thanks Rosy!

Thanks Matt, I always strive for perfection :)
There is the next frame, maybe you will like the BG more... Wish I could control it more.. My main goal was getting the Juvenile dive:)

Kris, these are great images. Every time I see your postings I think well he can't outdo the last one, but you have - #1 and #5 - just love the "dive" pictures. Thanks for sharing.

Love 'em.. The outstretched claws headed towards the water are awesome...

So much awesome on one page - just wow. And 5? Holy crap!

Love'em Kris.. Specially the first one and the 3rd one. 1/80th at 600mm -> Wow!! But my favorite is the 4th one.. love the backlit feathers and the perfect timing. Awesome as always Kris :)

Outstanding! Although I expect nothing less from you. As always, really great job.

I think its amazing how you get so close to these guys, even at 600mm you have to be pretty close in order to get this quality of work.

Your time and dedication has defiantly paid off as I agree with everyone else. Every time you start a thread, I know I'm going to be looking at wonderful images.

I'd like to see your workflow one day (as everyone would haha). You should wake up and strap a go pro to your chest! lol

Keep up the great work!

Thank you everyone! I have considered getting a go pro, lol. I think many people would be interested in seeing my adventures and field craft :) Nothing better than filling the frame with Osprey!

Heck, I'll send you a go pro if you teach me your ways hahahaha

Awesome set! The dive pictures are by far my favorite. In my mind it really captures the precise execution and amazing vision that these beautiful animals possess.
