Looks like I'll be limited in my reach for a while.
My 500mm F4 has developed a focusing issue so off to Canon it went this morning. Lets hope this isn't how 2017 is going to be. lol

That's a sucky start for the New Year,hopefully Canon have a quick turn around on the repair for you crossing fingers. If you still have the 400 5.6 in your sig you could get by at least for a while with that. My longest lens now is Nikon 300mm f/4 and I certainly have to wait for the opportunity now after parting with the sigma 150-600mm

Yes I could but ZS Jr. uses that and i can't take it back so I'll be stuck at 200mm for bit. In Snowy season &*%! but I'll get buy it's not like we can't share on an outing.

I had a recall on a Canon battery when I had the 60D some battery's would not take a charge but I purchased a spare battery at the time I bought the camera and good thing because the one supplied in the box was DOA and wouldn't have been able to use the camera.When I called canon they where on back order on the battery after a couple of weeks,I called again to find out where is my battery and they had them but never shipped it out then a few days latter I had the battery, then a week later I got another one.Somnetimes the lack of communications works out good.
