The ants go marching one by one.....

I've been out of the photo loop due to surgery and a schedule change. My life finally has some semblance of balance to it so I am trying to pick my camera up a little more often again! My son requested that we spend the morning watching ants. The lighting was pretty nice out so I figured I would bring my camera out with us. I don't have a macro lens, so this was done with my 18-200 and some heavy cropping. C&C always welcome.

Not too bad considering there all were shot with a superzoom lens and cropped heavily. Decent results considering! I think it's nice that you spent some time with your son, watching ants,and also got in some photography.I thought shots 1 and 2 turned out okay, and will serve as pleasant reminders of a time spent with your son. Ants are pretty doggone small subjects, and not that easy to photograph. I think you deserve a mini-back pat for these.

I think a macro lens might be in my future! I know these aren't great, but at least it gave me something to do!
