These were really the only ones I used it with. I left my speedlight in the car. But the sun went down fast and I needed fill.

And while this isn't the great shot, if you look at my wife's and my legs where the lens blocked the flash, you can see how it worked well to fill us up. I left the lens locked at 24mm when i handed it over.

I'm really curious to see how their photographer did. She used a d600 and 85mm 1.4g the entire night. She had a speedlight but wasn't really using it until until the dancing started; even outdoors when the sun was done and gone.

What was nice about that though was I could stand behind her and get the kiss shot without being in the way:

Great shots. I searched for reflections in the eyes and wine glasses but couldn't find any. Did you edit them out? Why wouldn't you keep the catch lights?

There's catchlights in the eyes, barely . Flash was at -2.5ev. I removed it from the wine glass of laralee. View at 2500px.

I've used my pop up flash from time to time...Typically, I keep the power set to 1/16 or 1/32 to keep it from washing everything out. Every time I see a photo washed out by the pop-up flash, all I can think about is the episode from Frasier where Martin has that old school camera with the HUGE flash that blinds everyone...
