I failed to capture the mixture of pinkish and lilac colours that were reflecting through the mist but I'm still fairly happy with it

Ooh, that's gorgeous. I love it. The birds are a great, necessary touch. They really balance out the composition and give your eye a focal point. The composition leads you right to them.

thanks matt, i waited for those birds to pass over that point. They were circling about that area so i knew they pass sooner or later

The composition has fantastic movement. Blue is a receding color and with the birds flying off and the poles demising in size moving out into the water, you’re literally sucked into the picture. I love it.
