The Brooke Shaden Sub-Culture...

I didn't want to put this in photographic discussions because it's not really something that is really deep or meaningful to the art. So yeah...

Brooke Shaden, I like some of her stuff. A lot of it's pretty neat. But then after a while it's kind of obvious that she just likes throwing a girl with long hair into a gown and dunking the model into a lake. Or maybe just skip the gown all together and go full-on nude.

Well I was just surfing the FB and I liked her page so I see when she posts new stuff (see I don't hate her or anything), but whenever she posts a contest I like to puruse the submissions because some are very good.

But then others are basically just clones of Brooke Shaden's stuff: surrealistic, somebody HAS to be in water SOMEWHERE in the scene, one liner titles with indie music lyrics as a description.

I knew she was popular but I never realized she had her own little clique going on. So anyways; what do you think of the (both authentic and clones) surrealistic wet t-shirt contest genre that Brooke has made so internet-famous?
