I agree with her. It's going to be 80F here today. In April. I would like to crawl back in bed and wake up in November. Unfortunately, I don't think my boss will appreciate the "I decided to cat today" excuse, and my work from home day isn't until Friday. :(

Yeah - MLW turned on heat for a little while, opened the windows, yesterday, but it's going to be hot the next couple days. Luckily new A/C units are being deliverd today.

Quick Maine trip in a few weeks!

My husband has turned the heat on early mornings and later turns the AC on.

Hi y'all. We've had winter,/spring/winter/spring/winter/spring/summer/winter/and hopefully Mother Nature has finally stabilized. 85 today high 70' s for the weekend.

Getting older isn't for sissies. Tomorrow have an appt with Ophthalmologist, my left eye is becoming increasingly blurry. Hopefully it's scar tissue from cataract surgery, and can be cured with a laser procedure quickly. Ive had it done before. Then between a lifetime of body abuse, the constantly changing weather, arthritis/nerve damage, my hip, knee and leg pain are taking a toll on the spirit. Hired a HS student to help with maintenace and yard work, and have a Dr's appointment on Friday. Hopefully he'll be able to patch me up again. Life is a b****, but the alternative isn't so great either.

The Barn Swallows returned this year, so once they settle down a bit, I'll try and get some shots of them.

We scheduled our trip out to Dana Point to say our final farewell to our son Daniel. We chartered a schooner built in 1929 called Curlew to sail out for the ceremony. We will take our time on the trip back and see some of the sights like Bryce Canyon and other places that my wife visited with Daniel a few years ago. What a roller coaster ride.

Sounds like a thoughtful ceremony. My condolences to you and family.

Will be a tough day for sure. Going to some favorite memory spots will be nice . In the future, you'll be be glad you did it.
We spread our sons ashes in a couple of spots that he loved. At 1, a deer came up to the trail, looked at us and dashed away. We swear it was him saying goodbye .
If you make it to Grand Teton, let me know.
