Dr confirmed COVID. Antibiotic shot, Zpack, and low dose Paxlovid because of kidneys and liver.

So far DW and I are now COVID 3, vaccine 0. Don't think we'll be getting the latest booster. To many around here having serious reactions, plus her cancer doctors are advising against it now.

Well 😡 looks like I'm positive for COVID. So much for all those vaccinations
I'm so sorry! But yes, this vaccine is there to make sure you stay out of the hospital and recover quickly. Hopefully you'll be back on track very soon. Sounds like you're getting appropriate treatment. Rest up!

If this a mild case I'd hate to have a serious one. Everyone seems to react differently, with different symptoms. So far the fever, sinus congestion and sore throat have been the worst.....and fatigue.

Not against vaccinations, with DW's compromised immune system we cant take chances. We get our Flu shot every year, we're up to date on pneumonia and all the other vaccinations. We've had all but the latest COVID booster and would likely get it if it wasn't for all bad experiences people around us are having with it, couple local teenagers went into convulsions after getting it, 2 adult friends developed auto immune issues. We've asked our doctors multiple times and been told they don't know if we should or not. Unlike COVID vaccines the others have gone through rigorous testing and evaluation for efficiency and side effects. The rush to get COVID vaccinations to the market seems to have bypassed some of those steps. In the heat of a pandemic it was necessary, but now our doctors seem to be less willing to advise us to be guinea pigs.

It's like the flu in that it keeps changing, so I imagine a booster with the flu shot every year.

MLW ordered a new laptop and 27" monitor for me on Friday; they were delivered yesterday. I'm just waiting on the external keyboard to arrive.

So very sorry that you and your wife tested positive. Did you feel better with the Paxlovid? Our doc told us if we test positive to call him and get the Paxlovid.

The booster shots were ok for us. No side effects. Now the 2nd shingles shot was heck!

We went shopping Saturday to a popular mall in St Louis. Husband had to return something. I was surprised that the parking lot was empty and the mall was too. We then went to a little place for lunch and the same thing it was empty.

I think the Black Friday weekend shopping is over. A lot of the stores have sales all week and then there is online shopping. I did not see any great deals on Saturday.

Hoping it works for you. I took paxlovid both times I had Covid and my symptoms cleared within 48 hours. I am one of the ones that the paxlovid gives a really gross metallic taste in my mouth but otherwise had none of the other possible side effects. My mom also took it successfully with no side effects. I have an aunt that took it and it made her very nauseous so she had to stop.

If you all have Covid again, and I mean this in the nicest possible way, keep it your side of the pond...

Hoping I've turned the corner on the worst. No fever yet this morning and sinuses freeing up, still slight sore throat, and feeling wasted. DW started the Paxlovid regiment earlier in the symptoms than I did so she's a little ahead of me. Be glad to see this stuff gone.
