What's new

The Coffee House

I know some bomb techs. I bet they can fix me up.

Things are coming together for the first stages - generator, propane, flooring and painting. The toilet was replaced today; the old one was like sitting on the floor.

That is supposedly healthier...

After being accustomed to moderate temperatures for so long, 39 degrees was a little nippy on the morning walk with Phoebe

Saw a lot of those in the Middle East.

They were popular in Turkey when I was there. I have also seen them occasionally in Eastern Europe. You get used to them, and in some cases, they were actually preferable because you didn't have to touch anything.

AKA "toilettes à la turque."

Bloody rabbits found new ways to escape and jump up & off there hutch while camping last night, got to modify all the work I've done now the crafty little buggers.

10pm chasing rabbits around in the backyard🤬, they got in trouble and got "put" into the hutch for the night!

Probably old news to some here. Great spice for soups, stews, eggs, poultry. Sometimes tough to find but worth looking for, especially for winter dishes. Smoky taste, aroma that remind me a little of some tobacco blends I once whoofed when a snob pipe smoker.
Mild/sweet version more versatile than hot varieties. Good shelf life.

I'm shocked - shocked, I say, at all this animosity towards this beautiful rock! I love it and now must advocate for it. You know there are homeowners and landscapers who would love to have such an awesome rock on their property.

I agree with Jeff - plant some pollinators around it and enjoy the gift from Nature. 🌻

I keep smoked and regular paprika around. It's a lovely spice and yes, very versatile.

That's where I saw them, in Adana and the surrounding area. They are supposed to be much healthier than the Wester thrones, so much so that you can now buy wrap around stands to benefit from the more natural position.

The huge Toronto GTA market is FULL of large and small ethnic markets--you name it, someone somewhere stocks it. Drawing up the annual Christmas/Holiday food list now for an all-day bomb run shop-a-thon later this month/early December to happy-place spots.
