5 F (-15 C) this morning. The doorbell dropped offline. Brought one in and it started working; getting battery charge up, then I’ll hit the other. The pond-side camera is fine; maybe the rising sun warms it up enough. I have a post/wall mount and AC adapter for it; I want to angle it so the deck is in view.

After Gene Rodenberry died Majel Barrett Rodenberry looked at some of his materials and produced some shows based on his unfinished ideas. One of the shows was "Andromeda". I don't know what to make of this YouTube post, but it appears to be a legit post of the 1st episode of the series. [posted to YouTube by "LionsgateTV" on Nov 29, 2025, length 42:57]. Early digital effects work is interesting. The theme music was created by Eric Lifeson of "Rush".

I tried watching this when it first aired, not that good and couldn't get into it. Keven Sorbo just isn't a good actor it seems, to me anyway.

It was a strange show in a lot of ways. If you watch theatre, like Shakespeare, which was never "realistic" you got used to making up a lot in your own mind. Like a sword fight on stage is never realistic. You have to basically substitute what is on stage with what you can imagine. And no, people didn't really talk in iambic pentameter. And oh, right when the actor walked off-stage you needed to imagine a door there, and those three people there are walking down a street. I guess I watched this show and gave it a pass because I was looking at the ideas that they were playing with more than what was actually there.

It seems someone has stolen all my money leaving me a huge debt. I needed to be more active at my bank.

When we lived in Denver we had a live tree. A group of us would go up the mountains and cut ourselves. Funny seeing a huge tree tied to the top of the Subaru. Stopped in a local tavern on the way down for hot toddies. And old, old building with ghosts.

In the early 60s my parents had a silver tree with the spinning disc light.

Your bank should cover that. If your bank account was fraudulently accessed, the bank will do an investigation and restore your funds. This is true for both the US and Canada. Make sure you report it and talk to the bank.

Hiya Folks! It's a lovely, sunny 66F (19C) here in North Texas. I keep on thinking about moving further north when I retire, so I can have some real seasons and a lower cost of living, but weather like this keeps me here. I'll have to rethink it when it is 102F (39C) in August. Harder sell is for my Frau, who wants to stay put, while I want my retirement income to last longer, the property taxes here are killing us.

So, any of you Jeep owners have a Grinch on the front of your ride? Ya know, a "Grinch on a winch..."?

My last xmas set portrait session was cancelled. The young one under the weather. I told the mom that I will leave my set up until the first of the new year so come when they are ready. I have a few composites to work on and xmas to-dos to keep me busy. I decided no holiday baking this year. My oldest grand turns 16 soon and I make the grands birthday cards. Not sure what I'll do for hers, but will incorporated the #16.
