I guess it's Christmas at my house now. Went and bought a tree, started putting up all the outside decorations. Finish all that mess tomorrow.

Now melting bee's wax and bleaching it. Nothing wrong with dark wax but for gifts to non-beekeepers they kind of make a face at brown candles. lol Will put wintergreen sent in some, lavender in others.

It seems someone has stolen all my money leaving me a huge debt. I needed to be more active at my bank.

There's really no family left so I don't really do Christmas anymore. I'm not Scrooge, don't want to rain on anyone's parade it's just not the same. Never was a religious person so family is what it was about for me. Merry Christmas anyways...

You're not raining on anyone's parade. A lot of folks miss their old family times around the holidays, you're not alone. I think a lot of us reflect back this time of year. Maybe this year you can think like a pagan and appreciate Yule: the winter solstice is the shortest day/longest night - so it was considered a celebration for the gradual return of the light. Something to look forward to when it's freezing outside! Light some candles and treat yourself to your favorite foods and drink. Come hang out with us, too! You know we're up to no good.

Some are from the Jeep clubs. I'm active in one but am a member in a couple. This one was posted on a multi-commulity group on facebook. I really like the parades and "drive by" events. Unfortunately I missed the pink ribbon ride this year. I have a pink ribbon flag in my wish list for next year.

So far, no takers from up north, but that's OK. I can represent. I'm going to get some pink vinyl tomorrow and make a couple decals with club name for the small side windows. If I can find a horizontal seasonal flag I'll pick up one of those, too. The down side is the truck will be dirty - it's not warming up enough tomorrow to get it washed.

I need to find a doctor up here. I have a morning appointment at the urgent care clinic for elbow and shoulder/back pain. I'm sure the elbow is a tendonitus flare up, but the shoulder must be from some other stupid thing I've done.

Lazy lobster wants a no-frills lap desk. I'm going to make it, so a trip to the wood store is planned for tomorrow or early next week. I'm going to use maple and build in a little surprise in the finish.

One of the best (top five) Christmases I've had was when the local store had trees with slips of paper with the name, gender and age, and a few things that kids in needy families wanted. Boomer and lazy lobster were maybe ten and four, and each got to pick one. They really got into it.

Trees are up, some if MLSIL's village is out, and a few other decorations are done. As you can see, we had help getting everything ready.

I’m no longer religious and Christmas has become about family and friends for me as well. If there are no local friends to spend it with, and you don’t want to spend it alone, maybe volunteer for the day. Or a nice day of favorites is always a fun and relaxing thing to do - favorite food, favorite pjs, favorite movie, favorite book, favorite cocktails and cap it off with your favorite dessert!

We used to do that when my daughter was younger. Now I do it with my mom. Our local store has the tags with gift requests for local low income seniors and we always grab a few to fulfill. Instead of toys we’re usually shopping for pjs or blankets or winter coats.

The Veteran's nursing home back in SoMD provides a list of things to get them. Animal shelters also post lists of things to get the animals.

Clinic visit went well. Tendonitis and likely rotator cuff (again). Wearing an arm band for the tendonitis and referred to PT (physical therapy) for the rotator cuff. In the meantime, cold/hot. OTC pain relief and rest.

MLW and I went to a few stores and did a little shopping. I got some "greenery" and a couple big bows to put on the side of the truck for the parade tomorrow. I also picked up two large unfinished nutcrackers for MLSIL. I picked up some craft acrylic paint, though I'm leaning towards thinning them and go with more of a stain effect.

So, high was 60 today, put up a new mailbox at my son's, medicated and fed all the bees and even went for a bike, (motorcycle), ride.

Tomorrow the high will be 36 and the low Monday morning will be 14? Holy cow.

Snowing here. We’re expecting an inch or two but the heaviness of the snow right now makes me think they’ve under estimated. 40’s later this week. I had plans to do some shopping today but will probably just hang in and paint and bake instead.

Not quite that bad here, balmy 69 yesterday headed for a low tonight of 19. I don't really like the cold, but the up/down swings are a PITA to be get used to!
