Above freezing temps for a while so getting the truck washed tomorrow. PT and neck/shoulder massage yesterday; still hurts.
The permit is pulled for the second bathroom and the initial demo has begun. A closet is being enlarged for it. Now that the closet wall is open, we're waiting for the plumber to get back and decide on a plan. We went to a tile place in SoPo (South Portland) this afternoon to look for tile ideas for this bathroom and the eventual remodel of the main. Afterward we tried a pizza place in Biddeford (about 20 minutes from SoPo) that was featured on a local tv show. Definitely worth the trip.
I have a couple fly rods picked out: one for casting little flies to trout in small streams (7' 9" or 2.36m 3-weight) and one for larger freshwater fish, like bass and pike and saltwater fishing (9' or 2.74m.9-weight). LL Bean for the 9x9 and most likely a small local shop for the 3-weight. Bean has a 3 but it's shorter than I want. Something to do when Spring arrives.
Taking MLSIL back to MD in a couple weeks. She decided to come back with me after her doc appointments so I'll be there a few days.

Someone left the freezer door open again. We went from the balmy 70s to 17 this morning headed up to a high of 50 today. There's been talk of snow flurries all week, but so far none of the white stuff. Past history shows we might get an accumulation of 1 inch or more once every 4-5 yrs. Not enough to even look pretty. 
Since I was going to be tied to the house during treatments, I had a shopping list of projects planned. Halfway through the month and haven't started any of them. Fatigue has had a dampening effect on such things. At least I've been able to get our books closed for the year. Last year I consolidated some things which made it easier to manage. Starting to think it's time to start downsizing several areas in my life.

Snowblowers, busted shear pins replaced, scarce salt, slick roads, Absolut freezer shots, Friday nite pizza shared, neighbor reconnects, shovel brigades, cold Hacker Pschorr for the worthy. Last year the snow blower was buried in the shed and I ended up shoveling 3-6” by hand several times over the winter. This year I gassed up and test started the snow blower a month ago. We’ve had just 1-2” dustingd and squalls since that day. Not that I’m complaining.

It's the foot+ drop that blindsided us. Laid in extra gas, food and drink earlier in the week. Extreme cold buggered things up further.

Snowblowers are for sidewalks. Out here a bit more is required. Live on a private road in a forest.

Blower is at front of garage, ready to go for the next big snow. We also have two large buckets of sand and 150 pounds (68 kg) of salt. It was above freezing for a few days but we shot below it yesterday. It's lightly snowing but less than 1/2" / 12mm is expected. The same forcast for the next couple days. I went to the post office this morning and the truck thermometer said 18F / -7.7C. It's not enough to use the blower so I guess we'll shovel a bit.
We don't have any rules like in DC area where you have to clear your sidewalk within 24 hours after the snow stops, but I like to get the steps and path from house to cars cleared. I also try to get at least the front of the driveway cleared, but that can wait for a couple days; I don't want to aggravate the tendonitis.

Hardcore bada$$ to the core!!!. Getting flame decals for my snowblower. Still looking for some Big Daddy Roth stickers. S. Ontario is still digging out with lower temps and more snow ahead after today's temp jump to the hi-30sF. Beer/booze/grub re-up early today. Snug as bugs in the proverbial rug now.

Nah I bought it when I bought this place. Actually a little more tractor than I need but it's the smallest real tractor Kubota sells here.
I only have a couple (steep) acres so my BX does the job.

MLW got her second shingles vax yesterday, so she was pretty much wiped out. I ran a bag of salt to Lazy Lobster's friend in Auburn to help them clear the ice on rhe steps (LL took a spill on them the other night). I shoveled the front of the driveway. Well, I pushed the snow out if the way. I made chicken pot pie for dinner.
