First false spring is over, for a few days anyway. After 4 days at or above 70 the low the next 2 nights will be mid to low 20's.

Well we got another 8-10 inches of snow. I went for a walk around the yard and yeah, its mid-thigh height on me, so around 32" off snow total.

Ended up using the plow to clear majority of it and then switched to the bucket to do some removal and clean up.

The first snow was supposed to start around 1:00 AM this morning but now it's not going to do anything until about 11:00 AM. I'm thinking the storm got stuck in the traffic around NYC, Connecticutt, and Boston. A little more slated for Wednesday, Friday and again next Monday & Tuesday. I should be back in MD around then.

I'm trying to decide if it's worth going out and trying to break up the ice mound in the back of the driveway. It's not interfering with parking, but limits the travel to the big shed (aka "garage"). It's what has been sliding off the roof. There are two more in the front yard, along the porch but those are fine. I will need either a maddox/pick or a large sledge hammer.

Another mid 20's night here and then back up above freezing for the next 7 days, highs in the 60's again. So, second false spring next week.

Yeah, we're good. I saw a couple flakes a few minutes ago but they may have been flying off a tree. It looks like the wind has picked up a tiny bit.

I've decided I'm not chopping ice today. Maybe it's time to finish the '68 Camaro and start something new.

@SquarePeg is in the Boston area, and from the reports I've seen Boston is getting hammered, along with NYC and New Jersey - pretty much the eastern seaboard area.

I just read the storm is being pushed a little more offshore by dry air in Maine. The southern and downeast coasts will still get hammered but less so in;land (where we are). Of course, there is still Wednesday, Friday and next week. MD trip probably delayed a day or two.

Can’t see a thing out of any of our windows right now. It’s so windy and the snow is very wet and sticking to everything. Had to take that second pic by opening the door which I won’t be doing again today!!

I haven't been out but it looks like, maybe 2" / 5cm looking at the truck's running board. The wind is blowing it off the top of the cars.

We still need to hear from @limr - she's in New York, which I think got hit harder than was anticipated. NYC in particular, but she's outside the city.
