Well the Eye Doctor appointment was a pleasant surprise. Scar tissue from cataract surgery. Few minutes with a lazer and all is good. Left eye next week.

Why is health care is the only business we allow to provide service without telling us the cost? Would you buy a car like that?

Because most businesses don't have a "product" that is paid by 3rd parties which hold them hostage by their feet schedule allowances. Healthcare shouldn't be a business. It's unique.

Biggest problem for 20 of those years was she lived across the street, maybe 1/10 mile.They call her day and night for the stupidest things and she'd get outta bed go over and take care of it no matter what.

Just finished week 3 of PT. A little progress so I am hopeful. Seeing other patients at PT that have much bigger problems have put things into perspective on my problem.

That'll usually do it, won't it? I've never actually felt guilty for complaining, since my own issues are quite real - but geez, it could be so much worse!

Just finished week 3 of PT. A little progress so I am hopeful. Seeing other patients at PT that have much bigger problems have put things into perspective on my problem.

PT is what makes surgery successful. I've had problem knees since my teens (67 now) so I had a close relationship with my Ortho surgeon. One thing he told me before the first procedure stuck with me. And that was " the integrity of a joint is a foundation of muscle supporting it." Although sometimes it seems the therapist is a sadist listening to them and doing the homework really does pay off. Good luck.

Good morning, hosers.

I looked out back when I got up (no glasses) and saw some large birds on, and around th dock. I figured they were geese and went on to get my banana and coffee. When I got back, I looked a little close and they appear to be black vultures (black head) . Some had moved up into the yard so the deck railing is in the way. This was with the D750 and 70-200; 140mm, 1/1000 @ f/2.8, ISO 100. Cropped in LRC.

Maybe but they were just staging, sunning wings.

Back in MD a few years ago, MLW and I were driving to work and noticed a county car on the side of the road. When we got to it we saw a personon the crest of a small berm looking away from the road. Beside him was about a dozen vultures, quietly sitting/standing, looking in the same direction.
