Looks like the rain might let up for the fireworks tonight, Phoebe won't be thrilled about that. Hopefully they won't last long.

Busy week again, trying to catch up on chores. Seems they never end.

Happy 4th of July! We've had lots of welcome rain over the last several days, but today has dawned with clear blue skies and lots of sun.

Our sweet neighborhood is having a little parade this morning, followed by some indoor activities at the recreation center, and tonight there will be some fireworks. Our cats don't like them much, but at a distance they'll tolerate some noise. This is our first July 4th here, not sure how close they'll be.

Happy 4th of July! We have blue skies here, but still hot and humid, especially after last night's downpour. Spent the morning in the attic replacing the AC drain line, and plan of chilling the rest of the day doing nothing in particular.

We went the grand's children's parade in their subdivision on Saturday. Over 50 children this year. Their subdivision is mostly families with young children and have a lot of activities through out the year. Each event is a fundraiser too. This year went to a young boy in the community that was just diagnosed with cancer.

Somewhere on the 7 block parade route the first third of the participants overtook the police car. Thought it was a race??
The youngest grand had tears 10 minutes before the parade because her dirt bike wouldn't start. She ended up riding in the parade on a friend's gocart pulled by a golf cart. Good thing they were going at a slow walking pace. Glad she kept her helmet on.

There are about 4 days a year here where the attic is bearable. The rest it’s either the arctic or the fires of hell.
