The Coffee House

Indeed Mr, rainy day yesterday so we were stuck inside.

Cute. When I read "Scout", I thought the 2nd name would be Boo - as in Boo Radley - from To Kill a Mockingbird. But I am a book nerd ;)
Haven't read or watched this, heard of it but didn't know what it was about. Where does the mockingbird come into the story?

Because it symbolizes beauty and innocence and its a sin to kill the innocent.

The story is based on an event that supposedly occurred in our state. Read the book, saw the movie, and seen several stage adaptations (one local my son was in as a teenager). Still enjoy seeing/reading.

Scout = International Harvester. I heard VW has purchased whatever was left of IH and may be re-introducing the Scout.

The1925 penny was part of a bulk buy of pennies, the 50ct, $1 & 10ct i noodled out of circulation. Thinking about noodling coins again while im saving for the new camera for some pocket funds, and before currency becomes extinct.

In reply to the questions
I am sealing the bowls with products rated “food safe” not for liquids. The idea is to put nuts/sweets/ or nice small expensive soaps
Today a friend said
“I saw these amazing Christmas trees made out of wood at a craft fair. Can you make me some?”
I did not say, “as if I don’t have my hand full trying to make enough bowls( 14 made so far)
So today I made wooden Christmas trees.

Aww nice visitors, I was in the new forest, having a coffee and a naughty sweet cake a young dear walked passed the car.. no camer or phone.. I am fine thanks....

Got to go, there is always something to do before bed..... spin the washing.....

Oddly, we did too! Came downstairs early and there were 3 of them out there. So sweet, especially now when they're not chewing on the daylillies.
Time for a Shishi Odoshi(deer scarer)!

Meh, I like them.

Hey ho campers! Happy Sunday! My two Eurasian collared doves are now twelve... need to get a shot of them when they are all lined up, but everytime I stand up, they fly off. Now, instead of them sending one of their number to the patio to let me know the feeder is empty, this morning they sent four of their crew, plus two house finches to sit and look in the window and let me know the feeder is empty. And now they are triggering the ring camera, so I can watch them swing on the colored lights strings as they try to balance themselves. I should be able to get some better shots, because I'm updating my work station.

In other news, as mentioned, I'm updating my work station to better improve my work environment. I ordered an electric stand desk, so that I can spend some time standing while I work. My chiropractor says that should help with some of my back and shoulder issues. I'm also trading out splitting my workspace between a laptop screen and a monitor with a 34" ultra-wide monitor that can fit all of my work documents, and that has allowed me to remove the monitor that semi-blocks the window out to the back yard. No more trying to jump between two different screens. With me standing at the desk, I should be less likely to scare away all the doves, since there will be less movement on my part, and the camera is always right next to me.
