The Coffee House

Hey ho campers! Happy Sunday! My two Eurasian collared doves are now twelve... need to get a shot of them when they are all lined up, but everytime I stand up, they fly off. Now, instead of them sending one of their number to the patio to let me know the feeder is empty, this morning they sent four of their crew, plus two house finches to sit and look in the window and let me know the feeder is empty. And now they are triggering the ring camera, so I can watch them swing on the colored lights strings as they try to balance themselves. I should be able to get some better shots, because I'm updating my work station.
Good times🤪...

In other news, as mentioned, I'm updating my work station to better improve my work environment. I ordered an electric stand desk, so that I can spend some time standing while I work. My chiropractor says that should help with some of my back and shoulder issues. I'm also trading out splitting my workspace between a laptop screen and a monitor with a 34" ultra-wide monitor that can fit all of my work documents, and that has allowed me to remove the monitor that semi-blocks the window out to the back yard. No more trying to jump between two different screens. With me standing at the desk, I should be less likely to scare away all the doves, since there will be less movement on my part, and the camera is always right next to me.
Well since your now standing in front of the desk i think a treadmill to stand/walk on is in order hey😉?

6 hours of house and yard work done! Im knackered, swags set up but nothing else yet. A good old fashioned fry up on the bbq os in order tonight...

G'morning all. We had a good night camping, ran outta gas before the eggs were fully cooked. The bread rolls soaked up the little bit of egg white🤣. The hamburgers were tasty & delicious.

Lens is ready so going up to the city tomorrow to pick up the telephoto, theres another big botanical garden there so gonna have a good few hours there.

Good afternoon! Happy Monday! Purchased the tickets for myself, the granddaughters, my oldes son, and my lovely Frau to go see the Broadway Musical Peter Pan in December. In order to keep costs down, I'll be giving everyone opera glasses so they can see the stage... 😂 Should be a fun time.

MLW and I went to see The Lion King with MLSIIL and her travel buddy - fantastic show.

So three days ago my ATT internet went from crappy to really crappy. An hour on the phone with their tech support, they finally concluded it was their modem. To their credit, they sent me a replacement modem next day FedEx. They assured me that once connected my network name and password would transfer over so I wouldn't have change all the devices connected. Get the new modem, login in to the MyATT app, everything goes just like it's supposed to, gets to the very last screen, and nothing happens when you press the NEXT button. Another two hours on the phone with tech support, finally have to login to my account from my phone wifi, change the network name and password to the new modem, then log into MyATT and change the network name and password back to my original. now everything back to crappy. I've been procrastinating switching to the 5G wireless home internet, so next week it's on the agenda.

Then today, one of the Dish receivers decided to crash, and of course I would need to update the receivers to the new models (which they will supply free) for another $5/month, which wouldn't be bad except they've jacked the bill up to $125 for basic service now, with all the little add on fees and taxes.:BangHead: Have a trip coming up, but looks like when I get back I'll be making a lot of changes around our house.

Bloody hell. Was supposed to be $150 to $200 for the lens, just rang them and the bills $300.

PS. On a positive note the Plovers in the street have chicks again, theres 2 of them. Really hope this lot does better.

I had a similar problem a few months ago. Switched out the Spectrum modem and bought a new router. What they didn't tell me at the cable store when I took my old modem in for the new one is after I hook it up they have to do something on their end. Frustrating watching it go thru the motions then nothing. Finally called them and 2 hours later got it all up and running. How hard was it to say at the store, oh by the way you have to call service.

The typical tech support starts with the assumption you're an idiot, so they waste your time with useless suggestions, which test my patience. My other pet peeve is when I clearly explain the problem and they tell me "don't worry, I know exactly how to fix this", 60 mins later they say "oh I misunderstood the problem". 🤪

In my case, the app wouldn't work, because the network name and password on the new modem was different, so the app wouldn't connect to the server. Changing the app network name/password, allowed the app to communicate with their server, which then allowed me to reset to the original settings.

&^%$$%^& perfect end to this day. Opened a prized aged bottle of very good Fig wine. Poured the last glass, turned to rinse out the bottle, and knocked the glass off the counter. The wine went all over me, and the glass exploded when it hit the tile floor, sending glass shards all over the kitchen floor and into the dining room. I've spent the last hour cleaning up the ness 🙄

You’ll be finding glass for weeks. It’s amazing how it hides when it shatters.

Like glitter. So much glitter.

Once, when princess was younger, I had her Girl Scout troop over here to make Christmas ornaments. I found glitter in my house for years afterwards. The funniest part was our little dog was pooping sparkly poops for weeks after that day 🤣🤣🤣

Forget the glass shards, you can't retrieve that last glass of your prized wine! A travesty. :(

We pay for the lowest package we can on cable. BUT then add on Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney etc etc and we pay more now then we did years ago with the full TV package. It's absolutely ridiculous.
