The Coffee House

Ontario reality check: snowblower overhauls. For our pile and the family ruin. Oil changes(easy). Moving bit lube(easy). Belt replacements...F-ing Hell as the resident Brits say. Uncharacteristic prescience to replace these now after 4-5 winters. Changing busted ones in a January blizzard fail recalls tales of doomed Arctic explorers whose frostbit fingers turned black and fell off.

Congratulations @snowbear and family! We will have to have another TPF meet up - this time at Portland Head Light or Rockland harbor.

It’s Done! We have a house in Maine!

The joke of the day has to do with the forms we signed: MLSIL is a co-borrower and a few of the forms she had to sign on the space labeled “spouse.”

The sellers didn’t get the truck they needed so they are still clearing out, which is fine. Tomorrow we will get the P.O. Box and get the water account opened. We still need to contact the oil and cable companies.

Maybe a trip to LL Bean. 😉
Yayyyyy!! Everything is starting to get a little real. ;)

Halloween plans? No party this year. Everyone's schedule scuttled it.

Still, the kids will be out enjoying the freak warm weather. Nice break from past years' sleet and rain.
Always supplement candy with small spooky gifts for costume excellence. Grand prize winners get the weird stuff, like these syringe pens. Should totally panic protective parents...Kids love it!

Oh your THAT house lol! Do you put on a scary mask and frighten the little ones too? The kids love it!

No Halloween specific plans for me. We do not get any trick-or-treaters on my end of the street, sadly. It’s a very busy street - lots of cars. The neighborhood behind us is very popular with very little traffic and lots of kids running around so everybody pretty much heads over there. Last year I went to a friends house and helped give out candy, which was fun because I don’t normally get to do a lot of that. This year I have plans to take my mom and my aunt out for drinks and appetizers.

Had the electrician here today to install a new ceiling fan in Princess’s room and a couple of nest thermostats. Very modern and techie.

We never have plans on Halloween. Maybe hide in the dark and hit them with water from the hose. It's going to be 80F so the kids might love it.

Actually, we just don't get Trick or Treaters - here or at the apartment.

Yard deco is a big thing around me. Those huge HomeDepot skeletons and animated figures are all over the 'hood. At a loss how they could be re-purposed for Christmas and Easter...

Red suit and bunny ears.

No kids this year
Both of us are ill with chest infections so did not light the pumpkin (local kids welcome to knock for sweets/trick/treat)
