Congrats! It looks like a nice camera. It came in today. They don't allow batteries to have any charge so I have to wait to let it charge before I can play with it but first impressions are that it feels like a more premium camera than your other entry level cameras. It does have a rugged like feeling and the viewfinder while smaller than the Z6II I had, it's incredibly bright and clear, like crystal clear. Last time I had a DSLR was a Nikon D610 and it wasn't as clear as this.
I like that it's K mount so I can natively mount all the awesome vintage Pentax glass which should be fun. Brings me back to when I started photography.

It's a lot more smaller than I thought, but it's also quite a bit chunky too. It looks nice though, almost reminiscent of their larger medium format line, especially with the green light around the shutter button. That's really cool.
Everyone raves about the sensor, it has good IQ and colors or so I am told. It's unique I guess?
It may not be my forever camera but it's good enough for now until I can save up to buy something better. I am looking forward to getting some old glass for it.
There's a pancake lens I wanna get which will be really fun!
Unfortunately the process appears to be exponential as the years pass. My brain is still having problems resolving aches, pains and no longer being able to do things I used to without thought.Aging is for the birds
I hear ya. People hear the word "massage" and imagine something soothing and relaxing. It's hard to describe how awful deep tissue massage can be. Long term, the fascia muscles are being released and knots worked out - but getting there is a little bit of hell. Finally, I went to see a friend who is a kinesiologist due to an issue with my neck and right shoulder. Let me tell ya something, when they do deep tissue manipulation that stuff hurts!
Condolences on the loss of your friend and colleague.Good morning hosers. MLW had her final day in the office. She is on leave for the month of May, and will be retired as of Jue 1. Being on leave allows her to continue to work overtime at the Watch Office, but not have to deal with the "normal" stuff and commute every morning.
I made a new mantel for the MD house living room fire place. A simple, contemporary "box" out of pine, stained and topped with a satin polyurethane. Please excuse the mess, work is still going on.

May is going to be a busy month for us. The electrician is coming to the MD house, today, to swap out about 20 two-prong outlets to three-prong, and equivalent wall switches. The roofers are starting at the ME house on Monday, so we are off to Maine, Sunday morning (MLW is working at the Watch Office Saturday night). We're having a metal roof installed (one extension already has a metal roof).
I have a Jeep thing (National Topless Day) in northern ME, an off road trail ride in MD, and the funeral of our previous Fire Chief to attend.

Rest in Peace, Chief Barksdale
Yeah, definitely not for the weak. I have another session this afternoon. It's taking time, but things are improving.I hear ya. People hear the word "massage" and imagine something soothing and relaxing. It's hard to describe how awful deep tissue massage can be. Long term, the fascia muscles are being released and knots worked out - but getting there is a little bit of hell.
Good luck and I hope you continue to improve!
