    It's been a while since I've posted any new pictures. I usually see a bunch of Red Tail Hawks, but I've never seen this guy before. I saw this Cooper's Hawk around in my neighborhood and thought I'd share.

    Yea, they are really cool. I have never seen one around here with red eyes.

    Yea, no sympathy for the mouse, they've been quite a bit of a nuisance lately.

    They eat more birds than rodents. Quite fond of the larger song birds....Cardinals, Jays. Mockingbirds, and especially doves!. They are smart too. They locate bird feeders and hang around close by until they have dented the bird supply. We get Coops and Sharpies here in the yard several times a year. Usually takes a couple weeks before the general bird population gets back up to normal. ;)
