The elusive Northern Jacana returns

[RVT1K]

Very wary and very hard to get close to.

Unless I'm in the car!?

Interesting looking bird (or...fowl?)! Lovely coloring.

They are very cool and yours is an interesting question. So what is the difference between "bird" and "fowl"?
The real payoff will come when I finally get a good shot of them flying.
One day....

Beautiful shot!

Thanks!
It was a combo shot..hand-held and hands-free. The camera was hand-held, shooting out the window, as I was rolling past the birds in my car.
