The Great Pumpkin Patch - Please Critique!!!

This is a shot of my daughter. Every year, we go to the local produce stand and take pictures in the huge pile of pumpkins. This is my favorite of her. Is the vertical shot too much? The image has not been cropped, so her left arm and waist down were never in the shot. Is this too much missing?As for software manipulation, I made two mask, set the background to g. blur of 30 and a g. blur of 5 on her body (except the face). Is this shot too "Glamour Shot"?

i think a touch more light on her face would be nice and WB might be a little off

I agree, the WB is maybe a bit off. The light on the side of her face is quite hot (blue).

I think the biggest issue that jumps out at me, is the composition. Her face is dead centre with a whole lot of space above her head. Just by scrolling down my browser, so that the top part of the photo is cropped off (to just above her head), I think it makes a dramatic improvement, while still setting the scene of being in a pumpkin patch. (well, not really a patch, just a pile of pumpkins).

totally agree. someone has to win in the picture either the girl or the pumpkin.
