She just would not smile all day lol. And then finally I got one good smile.

Consider yourself lucky! Now when she refuse to smile at you again, show her these pictures and then take a shot of her face. You'll get more interesting expressions.

When talking to children, don't ask or expect them to smile well on cue.
Tell them to wet their lips and close them a bit.
Then take one shot and tell them to fart.
When they laugh take more shots.
These fake smiles are just torture.

Slow down, take a step back and work on getting better composition.
Both pictures are badly tilted and not well placed in the frame.
In the first, they are way too low in the frame and chopped off but there is a lot of space above them; it looks like a framing mistake.
The second one is shot out in the direct sun, badly tilted, there are burnt out areas on her face and the background is terribly annoying and ugly and there is so much of it.
Don't convert to B&W to try and save it, toss it.

Thank you The_Traveler for the advise and criticism. These were edited when I first got a hold of lightroom. Since then (2-3 days) I have learned a lot more about how to post edit with lightroom.

With due respect, I suggest you start from scratch and get a less fake smile from your daughter.
You seem to have added contrast but that isn't going to improve this photo.

Start with a good basic image and then improve that one, if needed.
