Here's a pic I took of my friend at the Holy Land Experience in Orlando, FL. I think it turned out fairly well. I like the colors although the napkin dispenser is distracting. C&C please.

True enough ... that tree looks like it is growing out of his head and is a lot more distracting than the napkin dispenser. So maybe you should have done two quick things before you took the photo: move yourself over to the left just a bit more so the tree would no longer grow out of his head, and remove that napkin dispenser.

And then you might have tried to frame him so that his face is not in the very centre of your picture.
