This lovely lady is Rebecca. She is all the way from England. She moved here to pursue an acting career and ask me to do a headshot as well as some photos of her character. Ive still got quite a few photos to go through but she was extremely nice and very easy to work with

I think I will need to go back and burn in the tips of the rabbit ears on the last photo

i don't mind the ears in the last one much. looks a little bright on the highlight, but its not very distracting to the photo overall.

To me she looks a lot prettier in the first one than the second two. Maybe it is the makeup. Not a reflection on your photography just a personal preference on looks.

I thought exactly the same and then I started a monologue about make up like this one and acting like this...

nothing regarding your photos! It's just me. I liked her in the first one and was disappointed with her caracter

I always LOVE the high-quality and impeccable focusing and good, adequate depth of field your photos consistently demonstrate, but there's one thing about the first photo I do not like. It's the way the light is falling downward, and how is causes the camera-left eye socket to fall into shadow...that's just not a favorable look...it's got a slightly un-welcoming look to it. The second thing is a result of the placement of the main light: the camera-right side of her face is very light, and looks rounded, and w-i-d-e, and the camera-left side of her face looks narrow, and darker. Overall, the lighting is just not giving off a "pleasing" vibe to me. Beautiful women have very symmetrical faces, and the lighting in #1 creates a very asymmetrical-looking face. If you open the first image in PS, and dividing the face right down the center of the nose line, copy each side, then mirror it and make two separate images, "one face" from the narrow side, and one face from the wide side, you'll easily see how asymmetrical her face looks in photo #1. The wide side and the narrow side are sort of competing with one another, but it's subliminal, it's not really apparent.

I think for headshots and beauty shots, the more-symmetrical a woman looks, the more beautiful she looks.

her makeup and outfit in 32 and #3 are a bit outlandish, but I get it...she's an actress...and Easter is tomorrow, and bunny ears are everywhere.

Thank you everyone for the critique and I totally see what youre are saying Darrel. Would having fill light on camera left help that issue? Maybe even just a reflector? I think part of it may be that she has a bit of a half smile (her left side) as well.

I added a couple more as well as the original three. Had some additional editing to do on the first three.

The edit on #2 has **dramatically** changed the shot, for the better! You've equalized the lighting a good deal, lightened up the eye socket, and in general have improved the shot quite a bit from the way it looked yesterday. A reflector close to her would have equalized the lighting on the off-side, yes. Or a fill light. Either one. The edits look good.
