A shot from today's shoot at my old highschool--I'm doing work for their new website and publications, so hopefully it'll lead to some more commercial work! I'll make a blog post and full set of images later, but the trees still aren't completely bloomed and the lighting was just alright this morning so I am heading back tomorrow and saturday for some more campus shots.

Yeah, it's a really fancy semi public semi private school. 2500 students, like 12 buildings, etc. you'll see more of it shortly

If I had 2k to spend on one, I would... But right now there are other things I have to spend monies on before I can pick up a tilt shift. Trust me, I want one badly though. Shooting there yesterday really made it apparent how badly I want one.

You could pick up the Ronkion one for $800. I've heard its not bad for occasional use.

The Canon TS lenses are just stupid expensive. I've thought about getting one since I do a done aof building but it's hard to justify $2k for a lens that would sit in my bag 90% of the time.

I've thought about the Rokinon, but I struggle buying the cheap version of something I'll have for a long time. Id use it for landscapes too, for increased DOF and such.

That was a difficult shot Jake. The sunlight on the statute still blew out with the room on the dark side. Not sure how you could do much better except wait for a different time of day.
