The Veteran's Portrait Project rides again -- **UPDATED**

I liked both versions of the vet, but the second, cropped version of the child is much, much better in my opinion. The horizontal striped top, the horizontal bands or light and dark of the hat and the girl's elbows pointing left and right make this a perfect composition for a horizontal format photo. Filling the frame like you did makes this a very charming photo. The previous version just didn't feel right to me. But what do I know; I'm very weak in portraiture. I do know what I like though.

I like the cropped version better as well, now that I looked at it on a monitor.
