    I don't know, but whatever it was, it was big and bulky.

    f/8, ISO 500, 1/1250 200-500 @500mm on a D500

    It started raining cats and dogs about ten seconds after I shot this and fortunately made the decision to shoot from the car.

    Great shot and sure hope whatever it eat is not stuck there. I seen cormorants swallow whole porgy fish which has a very sharp dorsal fin.Nature is amazing no doubt.

    I think there is enough acid in their system that long before he starved to death, the mass would dissolve. I've seen this happen as well with Cormorants but this is a first for me with a GBH. I just have this odd feeling from its shape, it was not a fish, but perhaps a small rabbit or large vole.
