This was my first newborn

This was back in January. He was 2 weeks old, which is older than I wanted, but he did sleep for a little bit.







I am absolutely torn on this last image, to where I've never posted it anywhere ever. At first I was like "no. no way. light is weird. his chin is too bright" I mean, I get that you don't want flat lighting and want some shading on a face or body. I thought it was too harsh, but it kind of grew on me after a while. Then my SO saw it and was like "wow, that's like fine art!" So I ran it past the baby's dad, and it was his favorite shot hands down! And I was thinking :er: really? Maybe it's a matter of taste - sometimes I find my clients prefer images that are just fine but were not my picks as session winners. Yay or nay?

I think that the last two photos are simply gorgeous. The simplicity of the last photo is really attractive. Nice symmetry.

I like the last one best as well! The pose is very simple and shows off baby's face nicely.
