I can only assume it will outperform all current entry level and prosumer models. Right where it should be. In between.

I'm going to sell of my D300 w/grip and 17-55, then trade in my D3s back to the shop I bought it from for credit towards a D4. Should be great. I love the D3s for photojournalism, but the lackluster video has been a bit of a pain while shooting multimedia pieces. The D4 will solve all of my issues with my D3s.

My question is how much are these XQD cards going to cost me?

Hmmm, that's only twice what I payed for my SD card although, I guess the prices aren't that bad considering it's new technology for flash storage...

Oh man $299.99 for a 32GB. If the D800 truly is 36MP, each photo will be no less than 40MBs (Raw), I'll be eating through 32GB like there's no tomorrow. If this is anything like SSDs for computers 128GB and 256GB XQDs will be under $800.00 CAD.

I think you meant to say $229.99, and ir's not bad because you can by a 1TB WD passport for about $180, and they're GREAT external hard drives

I thought the vide section was lame I whanted more higher cuality on the video function. A resolution about 4000 pixels like 4k or something like that.
I think the Nikon D4 is msotley for press photographers. I´m waiting for the Nikon D4X with higher resolution and with even better video features i hope.

4k video?! A RED camera with 4k at (I think) 20fps costs twice the price of this camera! I could maybe understand 2k, although if you're planning on using this camera for video only, then you're better off with a camcorder for the same price.

Looks like a nice tool for a hard core professional who needs that sort of thing. Way over my head as far as needs go though, not that I wouldn't love to have one and about a dozen new lenses or so. All you need is a lot of time and money.........LOL
