I found one in the local craigslist and I'm thinking about picking it up for my macro shooting. Any advice on price or if I should pick it up at all? Thanks guys!

I have one and it is a very sharp lens. I got mine from KEH used for $265 and it is worth every penny. It's my walk around and vacation lens now. If you get a good copy you will be pleased. Here's a shot right out of the camera, resized only, no processing !

Craig's list is a great resource, but you have to be careful. Be sure to test the lens before handing over any money.

Looks like it has a fairly pleasing out of focus rendering at this distance/f/stop/focal length....much "prettier" than say, the Nikkor 17-55's background rendering which is very hashy...
