I've been using black foam as a background. It looks as though I'm getting too many reflections from the granular structure of the foam. What do you think?
I post processed the file from RAW using DPP. Equipment used:
Hyperdrive HD80 - to stand the bowl on.
Black foam from Michaels.
Canon 17-85 IS
Canon XT
Ebay light tent (15" square).
Sunlight - I took the photo outside on my patio.
I zipped the tent closed around the lens to avoid reflections.
It looks to me as though I need several things:
1. A black card instead of the white end on the tent (so that there's no diffused light hitting the front of the subject.
2. A finer grained background.
