I thought I'd give another try to shooting hockey...

Although limited by a slow lens (75-300mm f/4.0-5.6) no IS and I did not have a tripod/monopod... I think the result came out pretty good. Although it is quite noisy...

The best I could do was f/4.5 with a shutter of 1/60th of a second and ISO set at 400.

Bump...

I posted this late last night so I thought I'd bump it to see if there is any C&C that might help me improve it with the equipment I have.

sorry I can't offer any C&C, but I do like it...do you ever take any action shots?

I've tried... But my gear is limiting me. with my best aperture of f/4.0, indoor action shots are pretty hard to get. If I turn my shutter speed up the aperture remains the same... So unless I crank the ISO (which I don't want to do) I really can't get any good indoor action.

Someday I'll be able to invest in a better lens. But for now... I'll do what I can with my trusty kit lenses...

If you don't want to crank up the ISO why bother taking the camera with you

Wishful thinking... Maybe I'll get lucky.

After all... as someone says in thier signature (sorry I forget who...) "You miss 100% of the shots you don't take" or something like that. :)
