Time To Go Skiing!

Tomorrow, I'm leaving for the resorts for 3 days of awesome powder snowboarding. I'm bringing along my d40 to capture some of the moments at the terrain park, groomed slopes, awesome powder(!!), and other stuff. My main question is how to properly conceal my camera while NOT shooting. I'm bringing along a backpack and this small camera bag which I will place inside the backpack. I know neither are waterproof so I'm planning on placing the camera inside a ziploc bag only for storage along with a moisture absorber pack. Do you believe this will be enough to keep the camera free of harmful moisture? Can other problems arise by doing this? I'm bringing along only my kit lens just in case
