Tips on photographing cars drifting?

I took a few photos at a drift event and I liked al the panning shots I got. I think those look the best drifting

Here is tip for your iPhone. Increase the brightness and use a magnified glass. Hope that help.

Now i'm home i had a look on the computer and its not sharp enough

In the middle is sharp. Front and back body are blurred because because the car turned.

What was your shutter speed ? not as excitng as rallying, this from a series of 11 shots

Sharper, but from that angle you don't see drift maybe you can't get in a better position, here we can get right up to the action

1/30 Canon 10D

I used to do a lot of close up shots to see the details of the cars. However, a lot of members in this forum suggested me to zoom out more.

Don't listen to them do it your way they are probaly Nikon shooters
