Went to TN for our vacation/anniversary and played with the D7000 for the first real time. Huge learning curve with it, but here are some shots I got along the way.

Playing with water shots, etc. I know some don't like the plastic look, but I like it on these.

This one got a little too close for comfort. 20 or so ft away, I eventually turned around and booked it back to the car but she didnt seem to have a care in the world. her cub wasn't far behind (thats what i was worried about, being too close to her cub)

and this guy hanging out in a field right by the road

Looks like you had a nice vacation. #1 and #2 I like but I don't know a whole lot about landscape photography. #3, I would crop from the right so that the turkey is not walking out of the picture. #4 doesn't do it for me, my eye wonders but #5 I really like. #6, the bear is too small and needs cropped. #7 is a great caputure all the way around and #8 is nice but I could do with a few less weeds in front of the deers face. (jmho)

thanks. yea, i know its a lot to CC but thanks for the words, was a fun time though. the one bear is OOF so i left it large so it wouldnt look so bad. yea, we tried to get that deer to stand up but he wasnt having it!

Some pretty areas over in the east end of the state. Makes me want to get out of here for a few days and just ride around over there again.

yea there is, was my first time there. had more fun doing stuff that was free than paying to do stuff. was a good time riding the roads and exploring places

this spot was awesome, but i was scared i was going to slip so i didnt quite get the shots i wanted but was a pretty place

That's cool. Where is it?

I rode one of my motorcycles to Tellico Plains a few years ago and met some other guys for the weekend. On Monday we split up and I rode around east Tennessee and western North Carolina and then up the Blueridge Parkway into Virginia. Just had fun for a few days. The Blue Ridge Parkway has some gorgeous spots on it as does the Cherohala Skyway.

Yeah, I can relate. Presumably the locals know their way around but all those roads look the same to me.
