To those that post images in the Camera forums......

Do you also post these images to the Photo Galleries threads?

I on one hand can see the appeal to seeing a thread dedicated to photo's from Camera X but only for the technical qualities of said camera.

On the other hand I never go into what for me are the technical side of the forum looking for images. So if they are not posted in the galleries, I simply wouldn't see them.

I know to some it doesn't matter but if they are not posted in the galleries the images are getting less of a view from the readership as I can't be the only one that treats the camera section as a technical how to and answers section.

I see it happen in car forums a lot as well where the GM guys only post in the GM section, which kind of work since car guys can at times be way to brand loyal and really some are only interested in seeing X car.

Where I get confused is if done here, does the poster not want others to see their image? I personally almost never look at what people shoot with. Only what they shoot. I never go into the Camera forums unless looking at a question posted or to see and answer to a question I may have posted.

In short. I love pics. Don't care about brand crap......show us the images.

I tried a while ago to put some shots in a gallery of some buskers, had it all the right size and tried to upload, but gave up as it was just taking ages so I just load them to whatever thread now.

Yes, sorry for the confusion. I meant do people post in the "Photo Galleries" Threads.

I only come to these threads for the peanuts too. I suppose there are probably techies that never visit the galleries. I know I see a some giving harsh critiques that never post pics either. What's up with them? How can we just take them at their word that they know what they're talking about?

Agree. I have a sliding scale of GAF on a critique based on the quality of product displayed by those giving the critique.

I prefer to post in the photo themes. It seems less pretentious for me. I normally do not care for critique unless I am after something specific. Most times, I just like to show the image because I like it. Additionally, I am shooting a wide variety of subject matter. I shoot mostly street but continually work on projects. The one area I am going to work on is landscapes. I will probably be using a larger format for that genre. If it ain't street, it's a project I'm working on.

Honestly I don't care ... I look over the actives so most of the time I don't pay attention to what forum people are posting in.
When I do post, I do try to pick the most appropriate forum based on topic/subject.

I shoot and post photos from my cellphone, iPad and point and shoot so there!

I post in the film section under Post your favorite shot from your most recent roll as 99.99% of my photos are taken on film.
