interesting in hearing opinions on these...the little girl with the blanket...too dark? and for the owl pic...which one is best?

the first shot has very nice detail and the exposure is dead-on for me.

Of the owls, I prefer the first. I think I would like to see one right in between these two?

I like the detail in the face of the first owl and the detail in the body of the 2nd one... so I guess like woodsac said... one in between would be perfect. the expression on the last kid is cute too.

As to the little girl in the blanket: her eyes make the whole photo, I think. They are HUGE!
The photo is a bit on the dark side, but the white blanket counter-balances that a bit. And it nicely frames her dark face and those huge dark eyes

. Maybe a spot of light in those eyes would have been nice to make them more "lively".
