Tokina 16-28 2.8

I wasn't even aware of this lens (shows how much I pay attention) but it sure sounds interesting, especially for the price. Too good to be true or is it the full frame must have like the crop 11-16 is?

Yeahhhh...I know whatcha mean...this thing tests out GREAT for a 3rd-party, f/2.8, full-frame capable zoom lens...and yes, it is a full-frame lens, available for both Nikon and Canon FF bodies. For the PRICE AND THE PERFORMANCE, relative to both absolute performance and total price, this lens is a bargain. As a matter of fact, I 'think' Roger at Lensrentals.com just rated this as one of only a few "true bargains" in Nikon FX offerings, in last week's blog entry.

I thought he said it was $729 full retail....

Well that's good to know. As I am growing increasingly dissatisfied with my Tokina 20-35mm 2.8.
