tokyo camera style

I don't know what it is but I find myself looking here once in a while out of curiosity. I rarely see such a wide variety of different cameras on the streets here in the U.S.... usually the typical Nikon and Canon digital whatever. From what I here, the Japanese really like their cameras and photography...

Not the camera... the LENS. Its a ms optical Perar Super Triplet. Its super rare... I think only 200 were made. Its designed (inspired by an older classic design), manufactured, and hand built by Mr Sadoyasu Miyazaki who owns MS-Optical in Japan. Well known optics master over there. They were sold last year but would not even take international orders to ship out.

One of my personal favorites, the F3 High Eyepoint with the 24mm f/2.,8 AiS Nikkor with CrC...one of my favorite small, light, decent wideangles, paired with a camera that has an excellent viewfinder for eyeglass wearers.

Ok... some people have way too much $$$

BUT

Thumbs up for this fellow who took essentially a regular M9 made from solid Titanium @ 22,000 EUR and actually SHOOT with it. I'm pretty sure the majority of the 500 made are sitting in their original box locked away..... depressing. That makes two known examples that have been shot with...
