Tomo's Hands

My good friend Tomo just got done working on a customer's car and was kind enough to let me take a couple of shots of his hands.

Good concept, I like the different ways you approached these shots, wish I could see into the blacks on the inner parts of the fingers but the contrast is very high and the blacks are crushing...you have a good eye for B&W work. I like the middle one for the way the hands are placed, I like the top one for the shadows, which gives a bit of an anchoring.

Nothing, borax can't deal with. Amazing stuff, good for hands, good for photography...

I'd like to see you do this again but with a darker background.
Then play with the lighting to get the most detail out of the hands.

I love the hands (except where the shadows are blocked up), but the white background is just too jarring for me.
