too far?

So its cold out. not much going on so I have been doing some indoor shooting and trying to work on adding some textures, backgrounds etc. something processing wise I don't do a lot of so let me here what you have to say about this one.

Hmm...kinda "so-so" for me. I realize grunge is iconic among snowboarders, but I think it is almost backward in this presentation. The degree of grunge on the flag is o.k.

I don't mind the grudge but I think the flag is weird in context.

Have to agree. In fact until I read the second post, I didn't even know that was a snowboard. Unfortunately, having said that, I'm unable to come up with any thoughts on how I would improve it, but I think it would have to start with the board being somewhere else in the image entirely.

I think the visual weight of those snow pants is really pulling the shot down...I looked at it cropped, right around the aqua-colored drawstring tie on the waist of the pants, and eliminating much of the pants really helps the shot. As-framed it just feels too bottom-heavy with those baggy snow pants really not helping.

Some good thoughts everyone. When I was looking for something for the background I just started thinking about how it's Olympics time and have been seeing a lot of snowboarding ads for the Olympics etc. USA USA and in it went. again, for this I was more working with just learning the process of changing out backgrounds because it's something I don't do. but at the moment its either black or white which I can gell on the white but just wanted to get some boost in my photoshop skills. here are a few more from the set that I worked around with.
