Took my boys rock hounding

Now that I am back home in Idaho, my boys wanted to go out for an adventure. I decided to go check out a spot that is fairly close to my house to see if we could find some nice specimens. This was our first time there and with the safety of my 9 and 7 year old in mind, I did not go into some of the spots I would have if I were by myself. Anyway, here are the photos I took of our first trip here.

All of us had a blast, my youngest is still more into rock hounding than his older brother. However, this place had plenty of insects to keep my older son entertained as he loves collecting bugs.

Cute kids. sounds fun. YOu collect rocks? Have to admit, i never thought of that. But it looks fun. Rocks look pretty cool too.

Actually, I am not into rock collecting per se. My 7 year old is really into it, I happen to be into hiking, fly fishing and the outdoors. I use my knowledge of the outdoors to help him with his hobby. Besides, getting out and hiking is fun, the main difference when I go with him is that my non scenery pics are of rocks and not fish

Now if I could just get them into fishing.
