What's new

Took some rolling shots need help with the post editing.

3 is a win. 5 edited looks way better. Others I could do without

Most rolling shots are done at walking speed, not 60 mph.

You were shooting the wrong side of the car. You will get much better shots of the car, by having the Sun somewhere behind the camera.

Use a CPL filter.

Yea on of those would have come in handy. that and a hood.

your shutter is too fast. Nice car though. It should look like this panning shot I did. Technically rolling shot is a lot easier, but it will involve more people and 2 cars.

Thanks. I posted my shutter speed. What shutter speed was this pan at?

No need to be going 60 mph to do rolling shots. Slow the shutter down at drive at like 15-20 mph.

Anyone know of any tutorials for editing rolling photos?

good rolling shots dont need specific editing usually. unless you need to sharpen up something or clone something out...

Either do it when the sun is on the other side, shoot it from the other side, or do it when cloudy. There is no special editing needed for rolling shots. You edit them the same as like any other photos.

9. Closest i got to a pann. Nikon d200 f/16 1/80 iso- 100

The shutter speed depends on how fast the car is going and what zoom length. The slower is better. I would say around 1/40? Here is my 1985 supra rolling shot. I wasnt the photographer but based on the background, I dont think it was very slow, but it is still slower than your shot.
