Totally green and looking for tips!

Hi! My name is Rebecca and I'm a total amateur at taking picutres. I recently received the Canon EOS Rebel T3 and am so excited, yet overwhelmed at what it can do! I have a manual that I'm trying to read through but its huge and I want to unlock the potential of my camera now! Looking for tip and recommendations from others with experience using this amazing camera.

Having never used a DSLR before you have a lot of catching up to do before you unlock the entire potential of your camera, but it can be done. We've all been there, we've all managed to do it, and if we can you can as well. There are thousands of tutorials on the internet, one of my favorite sources is Here. An excellent series to get a beginner started, they explain everything you need to know for the first few steps.

Jump in, make mistakes, and enjoy yourself. That's what it's all about.

There is a lot to it but as was stated above just have fun with it for now. Don't get so consumed that you don't enjoy it.
