I shot the PGA event this past week, here are some photos. Some CC would be appreciated.

I think that 4 and 6 and the best of the bunch, although I would have cropped them both a little tighter. I have a problem with golf shots and no ball, unless it's a clean follow through shot with the club behind the head. Second shot, ball is lost in the spectators crotch, last shot isn't sharp.

I agree, it was my first time shooting PGA or any level of golf. I have realized that the ball is extremely important through a lot of CC. As far as exposure what do you think? Last shot is soft

I think you nailed all the exposures. I wasn't too excited about the black and white. It's tough shooting golf at this level, with restrictions on when and where you can shoot, using longer lenses, 400-600mm does help when you are required to keep the noise down just before they swin. If you are further back you can get away with a little bit more. You did a pretty good job on these though

Thanks most of these shots are with a D3 and a 70-200 with a 2 xTC. Once I lock in exposure for a sport and have my settings down then I focus on composition. I still have trouble with exposure at times, I'm hoping I'm not the only one.

When you're shooting outside, exposures can be all over the place, harsh shadows in the sun, and constant change with clouds. Not to worry, everyone deals with the same situations.
