Never did a trade before. I may possibly do one. How do you trade without getting screwed?

Well, money is just numbers these days... So if you send it the right way, there are ways to get it back if you get screwed. Getting a lens back is a different story....

In that case I would say only do local trades so that you can check out the lens you are getting in trade.

There may be legal ways to get your dues in case of a screw up but it will be a big hassle. Or expensive. Not worth it in my book.

Try using an intermediary.

Yeah, what 480 said. Try to find someone who you both will ship to and when both arrive, they will ship the items to the designated person.

That creates the expense of shipping four times..... it can be done with three.
