I know I should crop this closer to the train but for some reason I think it would take away from the image.

Your opinions are needed.

Why do you think it ought to be cropped closer?
Just so we get to see more detail of the TRAIN?
If you had gone for that you WOULD have moved closer yourself to capture more detailed close-ups, wouldn't you?
So you must have done some sort of planning/thinking when you took this wider angle!? What is it you thought? What did you want to capture?

You might think about saving this again at a larger size than 432x288 pixel ... it shows a bit small here. Something between 600x400 (approx) to 800x600 is a good web-presentation size.
