Can others edit my Photos
Photos NOT OK to edit
Haven't worked with LR Mobile before, but thought it was time to try it. My question is - Can you upload images "edited" in LR Mobile direct to your desktop via USB or WIFI? All of the internet tutorials I'm seeing talk about using Sync to cloud, but my internet here sucks, so cloud transfer is out the question.

most mobiles save camera images in DCM or DCIM whatever. Then open it and copy images and paste into a folder you created on your computer. You need a usb transfer cable to do this of course. Photoshop express, photoshop mobile, lightroom mobile. They all make a separate folder in your camera's folder in the phone.

I think you misunderstood the question. I know to transfer image files from one device to another. I want to do preliminary edits in LR Mobile then transfer (sync) those edited images to LR Classic to continue editing, without having to start all over on editing. So far the only option I've found is to Sync Mobile and Classic in Adobe cloud, which as I said earlier isn't an option with my slow internet.

You are right. I did not understand that. Wow. Ok. I would never edit using a mobile app and then later on a pc. I mean editing on a 4inch screen first and then edit on a 23 inch screen later.. Best of luck with that.

I am able to save/export from Lr (mobile, I guess) to the iPhone "Files." The bigger problem is going from there to the PC. I haven't had a change to dug the charger cable out (still packed from ME). No luck going via BT.

I just thought of something. Not that I use lightroom at all. So sorry. But can you save a mobile "preset" and then import that preset into lightroom?

I don't know; I don't use presets.

My work flow is to apply some basic edits (WB, Exp, Contrast, White Point, Black Point, Shadows), then cull/rate for further edits. Those that make the cut get further edited in LR, and if they make the last cut, go to PS for final editing. Despite having a large library of presets, I rarely if ever use them. Presets are somewhat image specific, I've been doing it so long, that I pretty much know once the basic edits are done, what to adjust from there. I also have a large library of Profiles, those get used a lot, because they have no effect on the slider panel.

Previously I used a laptop and exported the LR Catalog (that's where the editing instructions are stored) for the images then imported it into LR Classic. To conserve weight during travel, I bought a 10" tablet and loaded LR Mobile, however it appears the only way you can access the Mobile catalog is to sync in the cloud, unless I'm missing something.

I'm not really sure, Smoke. I still use classic, exclusively. For phone/tablet snaps, I just let them go since they are jpegs and don't worry about editing too much. Anything I think I qwant to fuss over, or that may hang on the wall will get taken with one of the Nikons.

Some tablets have the ability to use mobile data. If you are not uploading images then I imagine you could get a pretty cheap rate like 5 or 10 a month. Unless your way out in the tundra and there are no roads or towns nearby.
