I was playing w/ some trees over the weekend! Should I up the saturation on these or keep them on the moodier darker side?
C&C always welcome!!

The first looks like a Van Goh. I say up it and post we'll let you know if it's badass or not. ;)

I like it the way it is. Wouldn't change a thing.

I don't see the resemblance of #1 with anything Van Gogh, but what do I know? I dig it, Van Gogh-like or not – I just find the white balance a bit on the colder side.

I like #1 more than #2. But the saturation is pretty low...I dunno...not quite right...I shot some stuff like this myself a few weeks back...deliberate camera blur on backlighted conifers...of course I went up and down, up and down...you being a lady went side-to-side.side to side...cough,cough...different strokes for different folks, as they say...

Thanks for the comments guys!! I'll post a more saturated version of the first one and see what you think.
Derrel, variety is the spice of life!

Darn it Mish one day we'll have to teach you how to use that focus thingy on your camera ;)

That said for the first I would locally boost the contrast in the left corner/side. You've a hazy spot there (almost like when I get bars on zoo animals) so I suspect something got in the way. A little contrast boost just to bring it up in line with the richer colours on the right side.

As for the saturation - overall I think they work as they are now with a somewhat more muted saturation .

Nice work, mishele. Are you smearing petroleum jelly on your UV filter??

Things that are in focus are boring! lol
The left side of the shot had trees that got blurred out, much like your bars at the zoo. I'll try playing around w/ that side.

lol

Yum :) I like the first one also.

Ok, here is a version w/ a little more color to it. Does the extra color completely change the mood for you?

I wouldn't say that it "changes the mood completely" for me, but I like this new version much more.
